Research that matters.
You do not need a study to explain why people use umbrellas when it rains. We work where the answer is not obvious and the finding changes a real managerial decision.
Algorithmic governance
Algorithmic governance is how a platform rules its participants through code rather than written policy alone. The systems that match riders to drivers, rank a listing, price a trip, score a seller, or take a post down are not neutral plumbing; they are the platform’s real rulebook, quietly deciding who is seen, who earns, and who is excluded. Here architecture becomes regulation and code becomes control: the platform steers behavior by restricting, recommending, recording, rating, and rewarding at a scale no human manager could reach. Its reach runs through everything a platform does: it sets the terms of competition between complementors, allocates attention and demand across every side, enforces conduct through automated moderation, and, because these systems stay largely invisible to the people they govern, concentrates power and information in ways regulators have only recently begun to confront.
